Last week, the JIA Business Association, represented by Board Chair Gulnara Satybaldieva @gulnara.satybaldieva, participated in the International Conference on “Youth and Social Entrepreneurship” held in Yerevan.
🔹 The event was organized by the Armenian Business and Education Association @business_education_association and the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Center for Education and Economy @bwmv_e.v
🔹 Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the National Center for Vocational Education, the Statistics Committee, leaders of major educational institutions in Armenia, the Finnish Association of Social Enterprises, as well as partners from employers’ associations in Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
Key topics discussed at the conference included:
- Youth labor market and employment readiness
- Skills mismatch between job seekers and employer requirements
- Development of mentorship programs for youth and women in SMEs
- On-the-job training with business participation
- Integration of entrepreneurial education in schools and colleges
- Transition from student companies to real entrepreneurship
- Development of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem
🔹 During the event, student companies and youth social enterprises showcased their products and services.
Additionally, employers’ associations from Armenia @business_education_association, Kyrgyzstan @jia.kg, Kazakhstan @paryz_org, and Uzbekistan @employers.uz discussed cooperation opportunities, shared association experiences, and expressed readiness to conduct joint initiatives aimed at developing social dialogue and partnerships.
